HELPING ORGANISATIONS LIKE YOURS MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
A national review of two large departments providing crisis and social services. The project included qualitative, quantitative and financial research and analysis; development of a decision matrix and geospatial tool; and assessment of the contribution current services make to the mission intentions of the organisation. The review identified opportunities for the future to expand the reach and effectiveness of The Salvation Army’s outreach to those in need across Australia.
Organisational Review
THE SALVATION ARMY
A customer listening project to hear the needs, experiences and perspectives of Guide Dogs clients across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. The project included a client survey as well as in-person and online focus groups. Customers valued the opportunity to have their views heard and to meet with other clients in a small group environment. The findings have been used to plan for service growth, inform service improvements and design new and innovative responses to client needs.

GUIDE DOGS NSW/ACT
An evaluation of the Power to You program, designed to build capacity for people with intellectual disability and their supporters to improve decision-making, independence, skills, confidence and community connection. The evaluation included development of a theory of change, co-designer and participant consultation, documentation and data analysis. The findings have been used to incorporate Power to You approaches into other programs and supports.

ARUMA
A business planning process for a new not-for-profit organisation to assist with clarifying their vision, purpose and strategy. This assisted the organisation in making decisions related to future actions, financing and collaborative partnerships.

Strategic research to inform business planning, including a profile of the regional disability services sector and an analysis of key disability reforms with respect to their implications for delivery of disability services locally.
Environmental Scan
DISABILITY SERVICE PROVIDER
An evaluation of a capacity building program equipping disability accommodation providers to design and offer individualised living arrangements. The evaluation included extensive consultation with participating organisations, observation research and desktop analysis. As a result of this program, more people with disability have been supported to create individualised living arrangements that work for them.
